March, 2018 – An unemployed female passenger requested a ride to the Dane County Job Center to inquire about filling out an employment application. She had mentioned that the last 2 times she attempted to go  there to do the same thing, she was unable to find transportation which in turn left her not able to sign-up.  We arranged a trip for her to arrive upon opening of the center, waited 2 hours for her and returned her home.  A week later we arranged to take her back to the job center to complete an employment application.  On her ride home to Stoughton she told the driver she had been accepted for employment in Sun Prairie and thanked us for filling her need. 

 

July, 2018-  A Stoughton resident called to see if we would transport them

to the Motor Vehicle Dept to get a personal identification card which would then assist her in completing her application for benefits.  She could not afford the cost of a local cab. She had no close friends in Stoughton and no family.  We took her to her appointment and she received her ID Card and she told her driver how much this would help her obtain employment and assistance benefits as well as qualifying her for rental assistance.
